Institutional Review Board (IRB)

The Institutional Review Board (IRB) is a standing committee at the University of Dayton established in compliance with federal policy for the protection of human subjects in research.

ATTENTION: UD is transitioning its IRB application system from TeamDynamix to Cayuse Human Ethics. Note:

August 18, 2025- NEW IRB applications must be submitted in Cayuse Human Ethics.

September 15, 2025- CHANGES/AMENDMENTS to approved TeamDynamix studies must be submitted through Cayuse as a “New Submission”.

Applications currently IN PROCESS in TeamDynamix will continue through approval.

Psychology Research Review and Ethics Committee (RREC)

The Department of Psychology's Research Review and Ethics Committee (RREC) is a sub-committee of the University's Institutional Review Board for the Protection of Human Subjects in Research (IRB) that is authorized to review and approve studies that involve human participants or records from human participants that involve no more than minimal risk and will not receive federal funding.
