  • Non-sensitive refers to topics and content that would not be considered embarrassing or that would not have a negative impact on a subject’s employability or reputation.
• Your research is NOT sponsored by federal funds,
• Your research does NOT involve participants from a prison population, pregnant individuals, or minors under the age of 18,
• Your research does NOT involve compensation or incentives to participate,
• Your research does NOT involve deception

This online portal is used to gather basic information about your study that should require no more than several minutes of your time. Once you begin the submission process you will not be able to save it for future viewing or editing so complete any relevant proposal documents prior to clicking "Start Submission." These additional proposal documents will be uploaded at the end of the online portal form. Additional proposal documents typically include:

• Research narrative form (required)
• Online or in-person consent form (required)
• Debriefing form or script (required)
• CITI (Collaborating Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative) certificates for all researchers involved in the proposed research (required unless already on file)
• COVID precautions form (required for in-person research)
• Minor participant assent form (if applicable)
• Copies of measures, surveys/questionnaires (if applicable)
• Advertisements or invitations to participate (if applicable)
• Compensation forms (if applicable, following IRB guidance on compensation and the use of raffles)
• Any other relevant information for the RREC to consider
