Overview
This form may only be used by researchers at the University of Dayton who want to conduct research in established or commonly accepted educational settings, involving only normal educational practices (regular or special education instructional strategies, effectiveness of instructional techniques, curricula, classroom management methods). This application form may NOT be used if the research is sponsored with federal funds, or if compensation is involved. If you are a student, you must ask your faculty mentor to approve the research and submit their proof of approval, along with the Parent Information Sheet, and Off-Site Approval.
ATTENTION: The University of Dayton is transitioning its IRB application system from TeamDynamix to Cayuse Human Ethics. Please note the following important dates:
- Beginning August 18, 2025, all NEW IRB applications must be submitted in Cayuse Human Ethics.
- Beginning September 15, 2025, if any CHANGES/AMENDMENTS to an existing approved study in TeamDynamix are needed, the study must be submitted through Cayuse as a “New Submission”.
- Applications that are currently IN PROCESS and being reviewed in TeamDynamix will continue through approval in TeamDynamix.
