Campus printing is always in high demand at UD. Here are some tips to get you started if you bring your own printer to campus or if you need a quick refresher on FlyerPrint multi-function devices.

Personal Printers
If you bring your own printer to campus, you’ll need to connect it via Bluetooth or USB.
Wireless personal printers are not supported on UD’s campus network. These devices are designed for home use. There are several issues with attaching a device designed for use on personal / home wireless networks to an enterprise network like we have at UD:
- In the case of wireless printers, an individual’s printer attached to campus Wi-Fi would be visible and available to use by all students attached to the network.
- Because there is no single standard for how consumer smart devices connect to and function on an enterprise network, comprehensive testing and support to ensure these devices can work reliably on our campus is unfeasible.
Campus Printing (FlyerPrint)
What is FlyerPrint?
Several campus multi-function devices called FlyerPrint offer pay-for-print / copying service and free scanning to email. To print to a FlyerPrint device, you’ll need to add a FlyerPrint print queue to your Windows, Mac, Android or iOS computer, tablet, or smartphone. (Yes, you can FlyerPrint from your phone, too!)
Printing's only fun if you check your funds.
Prints and copies are four cents per print for black and white and 20 cents per print for color. Before you print, make sure there’s enough money in your Flyer Express account to cover the cost or the job won’t print.
Before you hit print . . .
Make sure you’re connected to a UD network (preferably Eduroam) and select a FlyerPrint queue as your printer. To keep your cost-per-print at four cents, select FlyerPrint_greyscale rather than FlyerPrint_color. Once you print, head to a conveniently located FlyerPrint device to release your print job. Don’t wait too long, though: unreleased jobs expire after two hours.
Pick your pick-up printer.
There are FlyerPrint devices in residential and academic buildings across campus, including the lobbies of Founders, Marianist, Marycrest, Stuart, VWK, Kennedy Union, and the first floor of the Science Center and Roesch Library. View the full list here.
Print release: Log in to let it go.
UD’s print servers will hold on to your print job until you release it at a FlyerPrint device. Log into a FlyerPrint printer with your UD ID card to start the print. If you’re a first-time user, you may need to type in your UD username and password once to associate your UD ID with the campus print system. You can also release your print job remotely by logging in at udprint.udayton.edu.
