Sending Files from Your iOS Device or Personally-Owned Mac Computer to Campus Printers

The directions below allow you to send files from your personal iOS device (e.g., phone, tablet) to Multi-Function Devices (MFDs) across UD’s campus that provide print, copy and scanning capabilities for students, faculty, staff and visitors.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN: Make sure your device is connected to the UD network!

  1. Open the app that you want to print from.

  2. To find the print option use one of the following options: tap the app's share icon, tap the app's reply icon or tap the ellipse ... (three dots).

  3. Scroll down and tap the printer icon or Print. If you can’t find the print option, check the app’s User Guide or Help section.

  4. Select a printer.

For Students: FlyerPrint_color (for color prints) or FlyerPrint_greyscale (for black and white prints)

For Faculty and Staff: FindMe_KM_color (for color prints) or FindMe_KM_greyscale (for black and white prints)

  5. Choose the number of copies or other options, like which pages you want to print.

  6. Tap Print in the upper-right corner.

  7. You may be prompted to authenticate with your University username and password.  Enter your credentials and tap Sign in to print.

  8. Once you’ve sent a job to one our campus print queues, it won’t actually print until you “release” it. You can do this two ways:
  • Release your print job at the printer: Walk up to the printer, scan your UD ID card to login, select the print job and tap the Print button on the control panel.

  • Release your print job online: Visit udprint.udayton.edu, login with your UD username / password.  Tap the print link next to the print job you want to print and select the appropriate printer. If the print job is not listed, tap the Refresh Now link and repeat this step. Tap the cancel link to cancel an individual print job.
