Google Workspace for Education is UD's cloud-based communication and collaboration platform. It includes email, calendars, cloud storage, document creation, video meetings, and other collaboration tools for teaching, learning, research, and university business.

Access Software

Google Workspace applications are available through Porches.

  • Faculty and staff can access Google Workspace applications through the Faculty and Staff Launchpad.
  • Students can access Google Workspace applications through the Student Launchpad.
  • Many commonly used applications are also available through the Popular Links section on the Porches home page.

Many Google Workspace applications can also be accessed directly by signing in with your University of Dayton account.

Access Google Workspace on a Mobile Device

Google Workspace Add-ons and Additional Applications

Google Workspace includes additional applications and add-ons that extend the functionality of your Google Workspace account. Availability varies based on your University account, Google Workspace licensing, and UDit-approved integrations.

To explore what's available:

  • Open the Google Workspace app launcher to browse available Google applications.
  • Select Discover Google Workspace to explore additional applications and approved add-ons available for your account.

If you don't see the application or add-on you need, submit a request to UDit. Requests are reviewed for security, privacy, licensing, and compatibility before being enabled.
