Equipment Review for Disposal Request

Service Overview

Use this form to request an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) inspection for equipment intended for disposal or recycling that may contain hazardous materials or components. This includes equipment potentially contaminated with hazardous substances or requiring the removal of fluids such as coolants or oils prior to disposal. EHS evaluates and inspects equipment for hazardous components (such as mercury, asbestos, refrigerants, oils/hydraulic fluids/lubricants, lead, etc.) prior to disposition. Standard turnaround time is 3–5 business days.

Note:  Electronic waste is handled by UDit and can be requested via the IT Equipment Disposal. Refrigerators can be evacuated of refrigerant and removed by putting in a work order with Facilities Management.
