Voicemail Greetings and Personal Verification

External greeting

Plays for all off-campus callers and will play for internal calls if no internal greeting is recording.

  • After logging in, touch 8 2 to go to the Greeting Prompts.

  • Touch 1 to select External Greeting.

  • Touch 2 to review a pre-existing greeting if one exists (or skip to Step 2.)

  • Touch 76 to delete greeting if old one to be replaced. NOTE: If old greeting is not deleted first, the new recording will play after the existing one.

  • Touch 5 to begin recording.

  • Touch # to end recording.

  • Touch 2 to review new recording.

  • Repeat as necessary until desired message is obtained.

Internal greeting 

Plays for on-campus callers. It will not play for external callers if no external greeting is recorded.

  • After logging in, touch 8 2 to go to the Greeting Prompts.

  • Touch 2 to select Internal Greeting.

  • Touch 2 to review a pre-existing greeting if one exists (or skip to Step 2.)

  • Touch 76 to delete greeting if old one to be replaced.

  • Touch 5 to begin recording. If old greeting is not deleted, the new recording will erase the old one from the place where you started to rerecord.

  • Touch # to end recording.

  • Touch 2 to review new recording.

  • Repeat as necessary until desired message is obtained.

Temporary greeting

Plays for both internal and external calls, overriding all other greetings.

Create temporary greeting

  • After logging in, touch 8 2 to go to the Greeting Prompts.

  • Touch 3 to select Temporary Greeting.

  • Touch 2 to review a pre-existing greeting if one exists (or skip to Step 2.)

  • Touch 76 to delete greeting if old one to be replaced.

  • Touch 5 to begin recording. NOTE: If old greeting is not deleted, the new recording will erase the old one from the place where you started to rerecord.

  • Touch # to end recording.

  • Touch 2 to review new recording.

  • Repeat as necessary until desired message is obtained.

NOTE: Follow the prompts to specify an automatic end date for the temporary greeting. If an end date is not used, the temporary greeting must be deleted manually.

Delete temporary greeting

  • Log in

  • Touch 82376

Personal verification 

The personal verification is heard when a user leaves a message in another mailbox, when a caller leaves an express message in your mailbox, and when your line is busy and a caller gets the option to leave a message.

Create personal verification

  • Log In

  • Touch 829

  • Touch 5 to begin recording

  • Speak your name

  • Touch # to end recording
