Fiery Mac Installation (Visual Arts Only)

PART 1: Install the Fiery Driver
 

  1. Install the driver for Mojave, Catalina or Big Sur.
     
  2. Click Download.
     
  3. When the Fiery Printer Driver Installer screen appears, click Install Printer Driver Only.



    If you are not prompted to automatically install the driver, click on your downloads and double-click the file you just downloaded. Click the Fiery Printer Driver.pkg to run it.

    If you are prompted to automatically install the driver, click Continue twice and then Agree to the license. Click Install and enter your Mac password. Click Install Software.
     
  4. Click Continue.


     
  5. Once the install and download are complete, proceed to PART 2.

 

PART 2: Install the Printer
 

  1. Click on the operating system link that applies to you and download the applet.

    Mojave
    Catalina
    Big Sur (and higher)
     
  2. Navigate to where the Applet downloaded. Click the down arrow and select Keep if prompted.

    NOTE: Catalina requires App Signing and Notarization. The Applet currently is not notarized, so it will think it is malicious. You will have to right click and open several times.


     
  3. Open the Arts&Des Fiery or AD_Fiery Catalina program from the downloaded zip folder.


     
  4. When the "unidentified developer" pop up appears, click OK or Cancel.


     
  5. Open the Security & Privacy settings from your system preferences.


     
  6. Go to the Allow apps downloaded from section. Click on the Open Anyway option next to the Arts&Des Fiery or AD_Fiery Catalina was blocked... message.


     
  7. Provide the appropriate admin credentials of the primary user of the computer and click Modify Settings or Unlock.  You may be prompted for your credentials a second time.

    Click Open if necessary.



    And, if prompted, re-enter your credentials.



     
  8. The Fiery printer has been installed.


     

NOTE:  When printing, you may be prompted with an obscure dialog box. Type out your University user name and password and click OK.
