SPSS - Renewing Your License Code

The activation key for UD-licensed versions of SPSS expires annually. If you receive a message that your installation of SPSS is scheduled to expire, follow the directions below to renew your SPSS software installation. If you have any questions or problems with this process, contact the IT Service Center for assistance. 

On a UD-owned business computer

1. Click the Windows Start button and type Portal Manager.
    
2. Select Portal Manager.
    
3. Click the refresh arrow button at the top right of Portal Manager.
    
4. Select the SPSS Install package.
    

On a personally-owned computer

1. Go to http://software.udayton.edu.
    
2. Scroll through the list of available software and click the Download link for SPSS Statistics Standard Campus Edition.
    
3. Click the Request This link and complete the Software Request form. Choose IBM SPSS xx License Renewal from the "What software do you want to install?" drop down list.
   
   NOTE: The drop down list appears after you select an operating system.
    
4. Click Submit.
    
5. You will receive an email with a download link for the requested software within 15 minutes of submitting this form. Follow the install instructions.
