Access Google Workspace on a Mobile Device

Access your University of Dayton email, calendar, and other Google Workspace services from your mobile device using the Gmail app. 
Signing in with the Gmail app also enables access to other Google Workspace applications, including Calendar, Drive, Contacts, and Chat.

Access

  1. Install or open the Gmail app.
  2. Add your University of Dayton Google account.
  3. Complete Duo/2FA authentication.
  4. Follow the prompts to finish setup.

Protect University Data

If you use your personal mobile device to access your University of Dayton Google Workspace account, help protect University data by following these best practices:

  • Keep your device up to date. Install operating system and app updates as they become available.
  • Use a screen lock. Protect your device with a PIN, password, fingerprint, or facial recognition.
  • Enable built-in security features. Turn on features such as Find My Device (Android) or Find My iPhone (Apple) so you can locate or remotely erase your device if it is lost or stolen.
  • Avoid storing University data on your personal device. Access University information through approved applications and cloud services whenever possible. Periodically review your device to ensure sensitive University information has not been downloaded or stored locally.
  • Report lost or stolen devices promptly if they contain or can access University information.
