Adding a New Contact

  1. Press the Access Contacts button and choose New if this is your first contact list entry, or press Contacts > More > New if you already have entries in your contact list.

  2. Enter the name using the dialpad.

  3. Scroll to the next field and enter the number.

  4. Scroll to the next field and choose the type of number entered (General, Work, Mobile, Home).

  5. If you have another number for this contact, select the next field and repeat Step 3 to Step 4. You can add up to two additional numbers for this contact, but you can designate only one number as Primary.

  6. Press Save.

Call Forwarding

Use Call Forwarding to send incoming calls from your desk phone directly to another phone line (e.g. cell).

IMPORTANT NOTE:  The Call Forwarding steps will not work from a remote location.  They must be performed from your campus desk phone or by contacting the IT ServiceCenter at (937) 229-3888.  You can also open an IT General Help Request .  Another option is to forward your voicemail messages to your UD Gmail account:  Forwarding Voicemail to UD Gmail

Activate Call Forwarding

  1. Access the Feature List with the left or right arrow buttons on either side of the OK button

  2. Select Call Forward by pressing the button to its left (listen for dial tone)

  3. Enter the number to which calls should be forwarded (following appropriate dialing rules)

    On-campus numbers:  Dial 9 and the four digit extension.  Example: 9,1234

    Off-campus numbers:  Dial 8, 1, Area Code and the 7 digit extension.  Example: 8,1,937,229,1234

  4. Listen for the confirmation tone (three beeps)

  5. Observe the Call Forwarding indication at the top of the display (a bracket followed by two stacked triangles)

Deactivating

  1. Access the Feature List

  2. Select Call Forward by pressing the button to its left

  3. Observe that the Call Forwarding indication has been removed

Putting a Call on Hold

  1. Press the button beneath the word Hold on the phone display screen.

    NOTE: If you don’t see the Hold option, press the Access phone screen button - see diagram below).

  2. Press Resume or the line button on the held call to continue the conversation.

Transferring a Call

  1. Keep the call you want to transfer active and tap Transfer.
  2. Dial the number to which you want to transfer the call.
  3. Announce the call to the recipient.
  4. Press Complete to connect the caller to the intended destination.

Using the Call History Feature

  1. Press the Access Call History button.

  2. Scroll to the left or right to view a separate list of all calls, missed, or unanswered calls, answered calls, or outgoing calls.

  3. Scroll up or down to select the person or number you want to call.

  4. Select the person or number you want to call.

  5. Press the Call softkey or the OK button.

Using the Conference Call Feature

Adding a person to an active call

  1. From the Phone screen, select your active call.

  2. Press Conf.  The active call goes on hold.

  3. Dial the telephone number, or call the person from Contacts or History list.

  4. When the person answers, press Join to add the person to the existing call.

  5. To add another party to the conference call, press Add and repeat Steps 3 to 4.

Adding a person on hold to a conference call

  1. From the Phone screen, select your active call.

  2. Press Conf to establish a conference, or press Add if you are already in a conference. The active call goes on hold.

  3. Select the call on hold that you want to add to the conference.

  4. Press Resume to take the call off hold.

  5. Press Join to add the person to the conference call.

Conference Calling Options

  • Hold: Places entire conference on hold.

  • Add: Allows additional calls to be added to conference.

  • Drop: The last person connected to the conference call will be the first person - to be disconnected when you press Drop.

  • More: Additional keys if available show up here.

Using the Send All (Do Not Disturb) Feature

Activate Send All

Press the Send All soft key one time.

All calls will be forward to voice mail. A check mark will appear next to the Send All key.

Deactivate Send All

Press the Send All soft key again.

NOTE: The light indicator toggles off and on.
