Firefox's Enhanced Tracking Protection (ETP) blocks known trackers, scripts, and cookies to improve your privacy and browsing speed. However, on some websites, including Canvas and Zoom, ETP can inadvertently block necessary elements, causing the sites to malfunction.
This article shows you two methods for managing ETP:
	- Temporarily Disabling ETP for a site (which also adds it as a permanent exception).

	- Managing the Exceptions List directly in the settings.

Temporarily Disabling ETP for a Single Site
The quickest way to disable ETP for the Canvas and Zoom websites is by using the shield icon on Firefox's address bar.
	- Open the Firefox browser and navigate to the canvas.udayton.edu or udayton.zoom.us site.

	- Click the shield icon on the left side of the address bar.

	- Toggle the switch labeled Enhanced Tracking Protection to the OFF position.  The shield icon changes to a faded or crossed-out appearance, indicating ETP is disabled for that specific site.

	- Repeat these steps for additional sites.

NOTE:  Once you turn ETP off for a site using this method, the site is added to your Exceptions list, and ETP will remain disabled every time you visit it. To re-enable it, you can simply toggle the switch back ON or remove the site from the Exceptions list.
Managing the Exceptions List Directly
You can also add and remove sites from your exceptions list by accessing Firefox's Privacy & Security settings.
	- Open the Firefox browser and click the Menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the upper-right corner.

	- Click Settings then click Privacy & Security.

	- Locate the Enhanced Tracking Protection section and click Manage Exceptions...

	- Copy and paste the canvas.udayton.edu URL into the Address of website field and click Add Exception.
Repeat this step for the udayton.zoom.us URL.
	- Click Save Changes.

	- Repeat steps 1-5 for additional websites.

	- (Optional) Removing exceptions.  The exceptions list displays all sites you have exempted (either by toggling the shield or manually adding them). To re-enable Enhanced Tracking Protection for a site, select it from the exceptions list and click Remove Website. Click Save Changes to apply the update.
