How do I complete an Approval Workflow Step in TeamDynamix?

Several service request forms in UD's Service Catalog trigger a workflow process to collect approvals from relevant stakeholders. When this happens, the appointed designee(s) in the requesting department will receive an email asking them to approve or deny the request. Below you'll find instructions for approving / denying a request if your role at the University includes responsibility for one of these workflow steps.

Approving or Rejecting a Request

  1. Open the email with subject line TeamDynamix Workflow Step Assignment (XXXX).

  2. Click the Approval step link beneath the To act on this Approval step, click the link below: field.

  3. Log In to the TeamDynamix Client Portal using your UD credentials (this will only happen if you haven’t already logged in).

  4. Use the red buttons to the right to Approve or Reject the request.

If you Approve a request, your approval is acknowledged and it allows the request to continue through the workflow process.

If you Reject a request, the requestor receives a notification letting them know their request has been denied and cancelled.

The Comments in the Approve or Reject screens are NOT visible to the requester or other approvers. These comments are only visible to IT technicians in TeamDynamix.

  5. Click Save.
