The goal of the article is to show users what to expect when patches and updates are deployed through Software Center.
- If your computer receives updates you will see a notification in the lower right corner.

- You can view the update details in the Updates tab in Software Center.
- The updates will remain there for a week. You can select Install All on the Updates page to install every listed update.

- You can select:
- Right now
- Outside my business hours
- Snooze and remind me

- Once the installation starts, you’ll see a pop-up in the bottom right corner.

- When the installations are finished, you will see the Status updated to Installed.

- If a reboot is required you will be prompted to do so via one of the following messages:
After 72 hours, a 4-hour final countdown begins. Reminders can be snoozed until expiration.
Upon expiration, system automatically updates and restarts.

- After the grace period ends, you will see Past due - will be installed under the Status column.
- You will not be able to snooze the updates, and if a reboot is needed, it will happen automatically once the updates are complete.
NOTE: Should any Office updates be listed you will get an alert when you click Install All letting you know you will need to close/save any open office work as it will close them automatically once you click Install.
