ArcGIS is a geographic information system (GIS) platform used to create, manage, analyze, and visualize geographic data. The ArcGIS platform is available for teaching, research, and limited administrative use.

Get Software
ArcGIS Online
All ArcGIS users must have a UD ArcGIS Online account. This provides access to ArcGIS Online and is used to sign in to ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS mobile applications.
- Visit http://udgeo.maps.arcgis.com.
- Click University of Dayton.
- Sign in using your UD credentials.
If you previously used ArcGIS and cannot access your existing content, contact the UDit Service Center for assistance.
ArcGIS Pro
ArcGIS Pro requires a UD ArcGIS Online account and is available for the Windows operating system only.
To obtain ArcGIS Pro:
- Sign in to ArcGIS Online using the instructions above.
- Click your profile icon in the upper-right corner of the page.
- Under My Settings, select Licenses.
- Click Download ArcGIS Pro and follow the instructions.
Before installing ArcGIS Pro, verify that your computer meets the minimum system requirements. Mac users may run ArcGIS Pro using supported Windows virtualization software.
Faculty and staff: Contact UDit Client Services for assistance with installing software on a UD-owned device.
ArcGIS Mobile Apps
ArcGIS mobile applications are available for Android and iOS devices through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
- Install the desired ArcGIS mobile application from your device's app store.
- Open the application and select Sign in with ArcGIS Online.
- Enter udgeo as your ArcGIS organization's URL and select Continue.
- Sign in using your UD credentials.
