Transfer out:
https://porches.udayton.edu/group/international...If you are an active F-1/J-1 student orJ-1 scholar wishing to commence a new academic program or scholarly objective at another university, you must request a transfer of your SEVIS record (I-20/DS-2019) following the steps below.
If your courses at UD are already in progress, you must remain registered until your transfer is complete. If you drop your courses before the transfer is completed, you risk violating your immigration status. Dropping courses often has implications for billing. Visit this site:
https://udayton.edu/fss/billing/index.php#refun... , to learn about the university's refund policy. Contact Flyer Student Services to see what money, if any, you may owe the university by withdrawing.
You must submit an acceptance letter (students) or invitation letter (scholars) from the new school in order for us to transfer your SEVIS record. This letter must clearly state when classes or the appointment begins. Students: After transferring your SEVIS record, you must also complete the Student Withdrawal and Leave Form to notify other offices of your decision to leave. You will receive instructions for completing this form after we process your transfer request.
You may request a specific transfer date below. This may be useful to students on OPT/STEM OPT who want to maximize their employment time. In most other cases, ISSS will automatically set the transfer date between the end of the current UD semester and the beginning of the new school’s semester. Students working on OPT/STEM OPT: Please be aware that your employment authorization ends on the day your SEVIS record is transferred.
A SEVIS transfer is an immigration procedure only. When ISSS transfers a SEVIS record, it does not free you from any financial, academic, or administrative responsibilities at UD. Registration holds, account balances, etc. will remain on your record even after transferring.
