Positive COVID-19 Test Result - Students

You are not required to report your positive test result to the University of Dayton, but you are expected to follow the instructions below and monitor your symptoms.

Covid-19 Positive Test Result Instructions - Students

• Isolate in place or go home as long as you do not take public transportation
• Calculate your isolation period: CDC Isolation Calculator
• Wear a face covering for 10 days after testing positive for COVID when around others:

• It is your responsibility to contact your faculty and academic advisor to discuss any absences and missed assignments as you would with any other illness.

Were you in close contact with an individual with a confirmed case of COVID in the workplace at the University of Dayton?

• Close contact is being within six feet of someone indoors for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more and NOT wearing a mask; includes all housemates or roommates.
