Installing Microsoft Office on Personal Devices

University of Dayton students, faculty, and staff are eligible to install Microsoft Office for free on personal devices. Contact the UDit ServiceCenter or your unit’s IT team to install Microsoft Office on University devices.

Installing Microsoft Office on your personal computer
(students, faculty, staff)

Microsoft Office can be installed through the Office Portal.

1. Open a web browser and go to  http://portal.office.com.
    
2. Log in with your UD username and password, then authenticate through 2FA.
    
3. On the Stay signed in window, click Yes or No. (Clicking No is recommended).
    
4. Click on the Install and more button and select Install Microsoft 365 apps to download the Microsoft 365 application set-up file.
   
   
    
5. Locate the downloaded installer file and run it. The installer will guide you through the installation process. Follow the on-screen instructions.
