Summary
Guidance for Store Managers on creating / adding modifiers to their store products in TouchNet. This is similar to a form where you are collecting information from the customer such as name, contact info, company name, product/event preferences, etc. This is prompted to the customer during the checkout / registration process.
Body
Modifiers enable you to capture customer preferences about a product.

Create a product, then click its name in the product list.

Click Add Modifier.

Three types of modifiers are available - Drop-Down Selection, Text Entry, and Multiple Selection.
Drop-Down Selection
A drop-down selection prompts the customer to choose one item in a list.
- Name the modifier.
- Choose whether the modifier is optional or required.
- Choose if the modifier will be displayed just once (static) or for the total number of items in the order (dynamic).
- Enter the choices in the Selection fields.
- (Optional) Enter a price adjustment.
NOTE: A price decrease will be shown with a minus sign followed by the adjustment amount.
- Click Add Modifier.
Text Entry
Text Entry prompts the customer to enter text.
- Name the modifier.
- Choose whether the modifier is optional or required.
- Choose the type of text that will be allowed in the field. The default is free text.
- (Optional) Change the minimum and maximum number of characters.
- Choose whether to hide modifier responses in confirmation emails.
- Choose if the modifier will be displayed just once (static) or for the total number of items in the order (dynamic).
- Click Add Modifier.
Multiple Selection
- Name the modifier.
- Choose whether the modifier is optional or required.
- Choose if the modifier will be displayed just once (static) or for the total number of items in the order (dynamic).
- Enter the choices in the Selection fields.
- Click Add Modifier
