Step 4: Return to Secure W2 Wrapper to complete EduRoam Setup
 


Step 1: Download the Secure W2 Wrapper


  1. Connect the device to UDConnect.


     
  2. Open the Safari App and navigate to go.udayton.edu/disconnect. If you receive the Join UDConnect pop up, dismiss the window and open a web browser.
     
  3. Once the page has loaded select Configure your device.
     
  4. Click JoinNow to download the Wrapper.
IMPORTANT NOTES: The download might indicate that you are using MacOS Catalina even though you are using a newer MacOS. The wrapper downloaded works with a newer MacOS. If you are asked to allow the download, click Allow.

Step 2: Run the Secure W2 Wrapper


  1. From your Downloads folder, launch the downloaded Wifi_JoinNow_Wrapper.
     
  2. Your device may ask you if want to run this item downloaded from the Internet. Select Open.
     
  3. Enter your University username and password and click Next.


     
  4. Enter your computer password (usually the same as Porches) and click OK.


     
  5. Enter your computer password again and click Update Settings.


     
  6. Enter your computer password again and click Update Settings.


     
  7. The same pop up window will appear again. Enter your computer password and click Update Settings.


     
  8. The Wrapper will now take you to "System Preferences" to install a configuration profile with Internet settings. Leave the Secure W2 Wrapper open in the background when navigating to System Preferences, it will be used later.

Step 3: Install EduRoam Configuration Profile


  1. Click Next to download the profile.


     
  2. Authenticate with your computer password and click OK. Keep the Secure W2 Wrapper window open in the background.


     
  3. Your computer downloads the profile and requires a manual installation. The "System Preferences" window may open automatically, or you may receive the following notification:


     
  4. Click the notification to manually install the profile or launch the System Preferences App and choose Profiles.


     
  5. In the Profiles section of System Preferences, select Install.



    A second installation approval window appears. Click Install.


     
  6. Enter your computer password and click OK to authorize the install.


     

Step 4: Return to Secure W2 Wrapper to complete EduRoam Setup


  1. Navigate back to the Secure W2 Wrapper window and click Next.


     
  2. The Secure W2 Wrapper requires access to the Mac KeyChain for network authentication. Enter your computer password and click Always Allow. Clicking Allow requires authentication each time you join the network. Make sure you select Always Allow.


     
  3. Enter your computer password and click OK for additional profile changes.


     
  4. Upon authentication, there may be an additional certificate pop up for the customer, click Continue.



    An additional request appears. Enter your computer password and click Update Settings.


     
  5. Click Done.


     
  6. Go to the Menu Bar. Click on the Wi-Fi information to confirm the connection.
